The Alliance to Save Energy  is a nonprofit  organization that promotes energy efficiency worldwide  through research, education and advocacy. We encourage business, government, environmental and consumer  leaders to use energy efficiency as a means to achieve a  healthier economy, a cleaner environment and greater  energy security. We work with a variety of people and  groups to: Prove that business can be efficient and make  money at the same time  Educate consumers about the impact of energy  choices – especially on their wallets Ensure that lawmakers build smart and fiscally  sound energy policy  Carry the message of efficiency to established and  developing economies around the globe
ADEME : French Environment and Energy  Management Agency is a public agency with the  mission of encouraging, supervising, coordinating,  facilitating and undertaking operations with the aim of  protecting the environment and managing energy.  Their priority areas are :   energy, air, noise, transport,  waste, polluted soil and sites, and environmental  management.
Society of energy engineers and managers  His objectives are to: Disseminate information regarding energy  efficiency techniques.   Encourage and assist in implementation of  programmes related to the objective of  improvement of energy efficiency by conducting  energy audits and implementing the  recommendations arising thereof. Facilitate technical exchange by organising energy  conservation / management teams in organisations  and by arranging inter plant visits.  Organise energy related training/ courses of  various levels of management operatives,  technicians, etc.
European Commission : Energy is what makes  Europe tick. It is essential, then, for the European Union  (EU) to address the major energy challenges facing us  today, i.e. climate change, our increasing dependence on  imports, the strain on energy resources and access for all  users to affordable, secure energy. The EU is putting in place an ambitious energy policy –  covering the full range of energy sources from fossil fuels  (oil, gas and coal) to nuclear energy and renewables  (solar, wind, biomass, geothermal, hydro-electric and  tidal) – in a bid to spark a new industrial revolution that  will deliver a low-energy economy, whilst making the  energy we do consume more secure, competitive and  sustainable.
The FYPOWER website gives information about  efficicency and renewables. It shows tha latest  innovations and programs to save energy in California,  perhaps one of more concerned states about this issues.
